Become a Member Today East End Lighthouses (EEL) is a 501 c (3) not for profit organization. In 2009, we entered into an affiliation with the United States Lighthouse Society (USLHS). We have experienced positive response from renewing members as well as new members when joining our ranks. The EEL Board believes this opportunity provides our members with increased information on lighthouses and presents us with a real opportunity to learn about lighthouses and lighthouse programs with USLHS. We also believe there is a greater opportunity to network and cooperate with the existing Long Island chapter of USLHS, which could compliment EEL objectives. We believe that USLHS will blend very well with our stated mission for a "hands-on approach to restoring, rehabilitating and maintaining lighthouses on the East End of Long Island." EEL has negotiated an arrangement for a special rate for all of our members who opt to join USLHS. The rate for our members to join USLHS is an additional $15.00 per year. You will receive the "Keeper's Log," a first-rate lighthouse publication, and other privileges of USLHS membership. Remember, an additional $15.00 enclosed with your 2009 Yearly Membership Dues includes joint membership with East End Lighthouses and the United States Lighthouse Society. EEL membership provides you with newsletters of coming events, progress on lighthouse restoration and other newsworthy items.
